The word "through" in the Greek is a word that can be translated as "channel"! Thus, understanding what a channel is, is key to understaning what it means to say the phrase, as often used in the New Testament, "through the Spirit"! You see, a channel is something which is carved out to bring access between two bodies of water...thus making something which was impossible to pass, now possible! This is how it is with the Spirit of God in a person who has been regenerated through Christ...the impassable has now become passable! And yet, despite the fact that the Almighty Spirit of God now lives within us, it is easy to feel like we don't have much to offer God, or those who belong to Him! This is a lie that satan wants us to feel, and never believe! But the Truth is, if the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, you already have all you need! God has specially equipped you to make a difference for His Kingdom! Listen to this expository teaching over 1 Corinthians 12 and believe once again in the power of the Spirit in your life!
