"Come now, you rich, weep and howl for the miseries that are coming upon you.". James gives a strong exhortation to the Church to remind them what this life is to be about in light of the cross, not in spite of it! Self-indulgence, cares of this life, and carnal living; having minds set on earthly things, is not a temptation that the Church is immune to. Rather, it is by our resistance to living this way that reveals the glory, beauty, and majesty of the cross! In this message, we will dissect this often missed warning to the Church, and encourage all who listen to remain faithful to our purpose, patiently waiting for the coming of our Lord, firm to the end!!
