In the second part to our study over Malachi we will dive into chapter 2 of the book. In it we will see and explore why we as a Holy Priesthood (1 Peter 2:5) should no less brush off the warnings God gave to the Levitical priests, because we are their successors in the Heavenly Jerusalem! If the first was cutoff for their disobedience, what more would a just and holy God do to us? And in this often misunderstood passage, we will also begin to unbox what spiritual "marriage" and spiritual "divorce" are in light of Malachi's exhortation to not forsake the purpose of "marriage". We as partners and fellow workmen of Christ should never lay aside the greater call and mission of God's Kingdom for the lesser, carnal, and selfish desires of the flesh!
