This first part of our series in the life of Nehemiah, consists of an in depth dissection over chapters 1 and 2 of this prophetic glimpse into the life and story of Jesus! Authority from the king, traveling to a distant land with timber to fix what was broken, and a burden for his brethren, Nehemiah set his course to see the restoration of Jerusalem! Nehemiah was no warrior, no king, and no priest, but he was a man who carried a burden to see the return of glory for what Jerusalem was suppose to be! Brethren in Christ, we as the people of God must once again carry this burden to see the Church return to Her former glory! We must resolve to no longer be a part of the problem by only talking about what is wrong, but rather set our course to be part of the solution for what lies broken! It will cost us! It will require sacrifice and loss! But that is what war is about! We are commissioned to be soldiers for Christ and His Kingdom, not civilians caught up in the rat race of society! It is time to suit up, and press into grace by believing once again the Spirit of God is not dead, but alive and able!!
